Update from Lisa...

Hello Friends,

There is no other place to start then to lift our hearts of praise and adoration up to the Lord! How faithful He has been. He continues to walk with us through this journey and what a comfort and strength He is!

James had his follow-up visit in Indy this week, with Plastic Surgery, Neuro Surgery and Opthamology. They were all very pleased with the progress he is making. He is healing well and we are so thankful to see him regaining his strength and stamina. He still has some swelling, tenderness and numbness which is to be expected; and there is still vision healing due to the optic nerve injury. There is also some fluid (from the head injury) that has affected his hearing a bit, so we'll be seeing a doctor this week to take care of that asap, we hope!

We were glad to hear that we can start moving into more activity. James was especially happy, however, we were heavily cautioned on the seriousness of the situation should he get re-injured. We understand completely and don't take it lightly! Needless to say, we are proceeding with caution, common sense and wisdom! We've been told from the beginning that this is a 'marathon' healing process, not a 'sprint'...and how true that is!

It's very clear that James is a walking miracle! We are continuing to trust God for His healing in His perfect time. There is a season for everything, and we realize that this is our season of healing.

Thank you to all of you for your continued love, prayer and concern for us. Our hearts cannot contain the joy and gratefulness we feel for you! Your love has refreshed our hearts! (We'll continue to keep you posted!)

"The Most High God has done miracles and wonderful things for me that I am happy to tell you about. His wonderful acts are great, and his miracles are mighty. His kingdom goes on forever, and his rule continues from now on." Daniel 4: 2-3

Wrapped in His love,
Jim, Lisa, James & Vincent Menditto
